So Now What: The Real Osama Story

If you keep up with the news (and I hope you do), then I'm sure at this point, you have heard the story of where and how Osama bin Laden was killed.
If you know anything about the news media, then you know that you need to take some of the the things you hear with a grain of salt ... especially considering the nature of the story and the covert nature of operation, in general. Who's to believe everything being said about the attack and killing of Osama, anyway?
For all I know, it could have gone down like this ...

     But seriously ...
Maybe I'm a little skeptical but some things just don't seem to add up ... For example, Pakistan wasn't involved in the operation? Ummmm ... Does anyone else find it a little funny that two helicopters made it into Pakistani airspace over a highly militarized area of the country without them being intercepted before an attack on the compound could take place? ... His body was buried at sea within 24 hours to be in accordance with Islamic practice? Ummmm ... In my opinion, Osama bin Laden didn't follow the tenets of Islam and that did not make him a Muslim so whether he was buried within 24 hours or next month, it wouldn't have made a difference to me. Also, Muslims are buried in the ground, not at sea soooo ... Why? ... Here's one opinion on the matter.
Oh well, despite these things ... If his death brings solace to even one person who suffered as a result of actions caused by Osama and his followers then none of it matters.
As a country, we were hurt by him - each and every one of us - in our own ways, despite our differences.

Have you forgotten how it felt that day? To see your homeland under fire? And our people blown away? Have you forgotten when those towers fell? We had neighbors still inside going through a living hell. And we vowed to get the ones behind Bin Laden. Have you forgotten? (Have You Forgotten - Darryl Worley)
