Goin' Green

I long for St. Patrick's Day every year ... and it's not for the little green leprechauns or the pots of gold or the drunken fools I can make fun of as I walk down the street ... Nope, not at all ... It's because year after year around St. Patrick's Day, McDonald's releases the SHAMROCK SHAKE!!!! Mmmmmm ... Can you say delicious!?

And, this year, everyone can be excited because McDonalds has announced that the Shamrock Shake is now available nationwide, as opposed to at select locations. Everyone can now enjoy its cool, minty, ice-creamy, caloric deliciousness in all its glory!
So, what are you waiting for!? Quit reading this ... Get to closest Mickey-D's and pick one up today ... And, no, McDonalds did not pay me to say that. I just loveeee the ShamSHAKE!!!!!!

Shake, shake, shake, Señora - shake your body line. Shake, shake, shake, Señora - shake it all the time. Work, work, work, Señora - work your body line. Work, work, work, Señora - work it all the time. [Jump in the Line (Shake, Señora), Harry Belefonte)

Sexy, Sassy, Smart, and Sweet ... Meet Ms. Brown!

I have always been a fan of the M&Ms commercials so I was crazy excited to hear that a super sassy new M&M lady will be hitting the tube come Super Bowl Sunday equipped with super chic plastic rims and sky high white stilettos. This M&M has style to die for.

In addition to her style, this M&M is also a lady with ambition. Just look at her official business card right here. She's the CCO, Chief Chocolate Officer, at M&M. Her business cards are more professional than mine!

Seriously cannot wait for Sunday ... I bet Ms. Brown is gonna blow her colleagues out the water with her commercials, and that will take a lot, because, I mean, there have been some great ones by Red, Yellow, Green, Orange, and Blue already.
Here are some of my faves.

So, baby come to me, show me who you are. Sweet to me like sugar to my heart. I'm cravin' for you. I'm missin' you like candy. (Candy, Mandy Moore)

Hooked On The Ice Cold Cool Hoff

"Baywatch" hunk. "Knight Rider" hottie. "Spongebob" human. (And of course, who can forget German pop star.) David Hasselhoff is a lot of things ... and soon he will be coming to a freezer near you, if he hasn't already. And I cannot wait to lick that popsicle.
Del Monte Iced Refreshment released a Hoff-inspired icicle called the Hoffsicle to celebrate National Ice Cream Week after the Hoff was named 2011's smoothest TV star.
And in case anyone is wondering, TODAY is National Ice Cream Day and, for you ice cream lovers, there are some great deals. Carvel is offering one free kid's cup or cone with any adult purchase ... and Baskin Robbins is offering one cone for $0.99 when you buy any other cone! ... I just wish I could be served those cups and cones by the Hoff himself!

I am not ashamed to admit that I have some strange, unhealthy celebrity crush on the Hoff and that no food has potentially given me this much excitement since people discovered that Menthos and Diet Coke can form rockets.

I also cannot wait to go out to my local grocery store and buy these "ice lollies." I have not seen them yet, but if you happen to see them at your local store, leave a comment and let me know where because will be eternally grateful ... and I might even bake you some cupcakes.

I'm hooked on a feeling and I'm high on believing that you're in love with me. Lips as sweet as candy, your taste is on my mind. Girl, you got me thirsty for another cup of wine. Got a bug from you girl but I don't need no cure. I'll just stay affected if I can't be sure. All the good love, when we're all alone. Keep it up girl, yeah, you turn me on. I'm hooked on a feeling! (Hooked on a Feeling, David Hasselhoff)

Didn't Your Mother Tell You Your Face Could Get Stuck Like That?

Don't get me wrong, I think graduate was the right decision for me ... And I am (for the most part) enjoying my classes ... But the weather is getting nicer (crossing my fingers) and vacation is so close soooo ...
If my graduate classes do not end soon, and I need to continue writing papers that turn my brain to mush while I could be outside in the sunshine, and the classes continue to bore me to death ... I may end up like this girl.

No, seriously, one more yawn and that's it ... It's lolli-sticks for me. And they better have lolli-POPS attached to them if they plan on keeping me sitting there with them shoved in my mouth.

MMMMM ... Sweetness.

My boy Lollipop, you make heart go giddy-up. You are as sweet as candy. You're my sugar dandy. (My Boy Lollipop - Millie Small)

Beggin' To Smell Like Bacon

What is the world's (ahem ... guy's?) obsession with bacon? I don't get it (and not just because I am forbidden from eating it) but because it is a meat - not a flavoring, or a scent, or a design.
People do just about everything with bacon. Cook with it, use it as air freshener, and flavor everything from coffee to ice cream and chocolate. You don't see people using lamb chop or chicken as a scent, so what's so special about bacon!?
And, now to add to this bacon frenzy ... a Chicago cologne company is releasing a unisex scent entitled Bacōn (pronounced bay-cone ... Super fancyyy, right?) infused with various scents but apparently has an undertone of bacon hidden in it. There are two scents - Bacōn Gold and Bacōn Classic, both unisex.

Are you kidding me!?!?

Just what I want! ... To walk around smelling like a breakfast meat! I seriously do not understand this bacon trend! A spritz of this cologne "Scent by the God's" (OH YEAH, that's their slogan!) and everything is good in the world ... at least according to their advertisements.

I can just imagine walking down the street and having dogs chase me ... as the scent of bay-cone trails behind me ...

It's a scent that apparently was discovered accidentally in 1920 by a Parisian butcher named John Fargginay who found a formula of 11 essential oils (and bacon) that elevated his customers moods! Then in 1924, his shop burned down and the formula was lost ... UNTIL NOW!!! (Yeah, read the story here).
Whatever ... It's weird but if you want to spend $36 to smell like a roasted pig, click here and enjoy.

Have you seen the little piggies crawling in the dirt? And for all the little piggies life is getting worse - always having dirt to crawl around in ... (Little Piggies - The Beatles)
